Media invitation to Economist Impact's Future of Healthcare Week 2022

MEDIA INVITATION

Dear Bhinneka,

Economist Impact invites you to attend the third annual Future of Healthcare Week 2022.

Future of Healthcare Week will take place in Singapore on November 15th to 16th with a further day of debates and discussions online on November 17th. More than 300 health ministers, doctors, investors, scientists and senior representatives from industry, patient associations, academics and charities will meet in person at One Farrer Hotel with discussions live streamed to an online audience of 4,000.

Global healthcare-spending growth in 2022 will slow to 4.1%, despite rising demands and costs, as governments assess the economic damage wreaked by the pandemic. Healthcare systems will also have to manage a backlog of non-covid care. Leaders are faced with new challenges: to meet economic and development goals in line with UN Sustainable Development Goal Three: "Good Health and Well-being" and mitigate vulnerabilities, manage sustainability and improve the value of health ecosystems. The ratio of doctors per 1,000 patients in Asia has also fallen below the The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) average. What is next for healthcare? Over three days of insight-driven discussions at Future of Healthcare Week, leaders will explore how forward-leaning healthcare organisations can pursue more resilient, nimble and sustainable operations to ensure continuity of care, and solve the vulnerabilities and opportunities that the recent crisis catalysed.

Free media passes are available. To join in person in Singapore, please register here. To join online only, please register here.
