MARKET ALERT: Dow Jones Industrial Average surges to record high

The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged to another record high on Wednesday, a day after it closed at an all-time high of 26,773.94 . Boeing, Caterpillar and 3M led the Dow Industrials higher and accounted for more than half of the stock market index's 122.73-point gain on Tuesday.
