Aging Wine at the Bottom of the Ocean

In the southern part of Croatia, in the peninsula of PeljeÅ¡ac, one winery is taking their love of wine *deep*—75 feet below the ocean's surface. Wanting to combine his two favorite pastimes, winemaker and scuba diver Edi Bajurin built an underwater winery.

From Salt Mine to Subterranean Theme Park

Four hundred feet below the Romanian countryside lies a subterranean amusement park nestled in one of the oldest salt mines in the world. Believed to be nearly 2,000 years old, Salina Turda excavated over 3 billion tons of salt before mining stopped in 1932. Now, it lives on as an underground theme park, equipped with an amphitheater, Ferris wheel, mini golf course, and a lake complete with rowboats.

Vienna's Veggie Orchestra Literally Plays With Food

In Vienna, Austria, there is an orchestra that performs with instruments made from vegetables. For the past 18 years, these musicians have been purchasing produce from a local market, turning that produce into instruments and performing with them in front of a live audience.
