On Today's Show

On GPS at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET on CNN:

First, Fareed argues in his Take that President Trump's demands of NATO allies aren't particularly new. Instead, the real revolution in US foreign policy is what Trump is doing at home.

"The Republican Party has proved remarkably malleable ideologically. The party of law and order now has deep distrust for the FBI. The party of free trade is now far more solidly behind protectionism than the Democrats. The party that celebrated Ronald Reagan's optimism about immigrants now contains a majority that supports separating families at the border and criminally prosecuting undocumented immigrants," Fareed says.

Next, Fareed hosts a panel to discuss President Trump's trip to the NATO summit and Britain, and his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Joining Fareed to discuss all this are John Micklethwait, editor-in-chief of Bloomberg, Bernard-Henri Levy, a French writer and philosopher, Tanit Koch, a former editor-in-chief of Bild, and Anne Applebaum a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for The Washington Post

Watch Applebaum discuss Eastern Europe and US policy

Also on the show: Fareed is joined by Philip Alston, United Nations Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, to discuss his report on poverty in the United States.
