Is Indonesia at risk of repeating an environmental disaster?

March 30th-31st 2021
Dear Bhinneka,
Indonesia is one of the world's most biodiverse countries. It has some of the largest tropical forests and rich coastal and marine ecosystems, but it is at risk of repeating an environmental disaster as a new agricultural scheme may add to the emissions already billowed out by forest fires. From relaxing the rules around forest conservation to facilitating the clearance of land for commercial purposes, some of the most controversial articles of the omnibus law could boost economic development at the expense of the environment.
How can Indonesia balance economic development and environmental imperatives?
Join us at the Indonesia Summit on March 30th-31st to hear directly from:
Coordinating minister for maritime and investment affairs
Indonesia
President director, DANONE AQUA; Senior vice president, Indonesia and South East Asia
Danone Waters
Former minister of maritime affairs and fisheries

We look forward to your participation next month.

Yours sincerely,
