President Trump's first full day in Argentina at the G20 Summit has already included the signing of a new trade agreement with the United States, Canada and Mexico, which replaces NAFTA.
Here's a good look at what has happened with Trump at the G20 thus far, and what's at stake for him there going forward.
What the White House Press Corps is Talking About:
The ongoing issue of Trump's involvement with business dealings in Russia, and how they affect the Mueller investigation.
Putin's Penthouse:
I love the part of the story that Trump's new Trump Tower property in Moscow, which never got out of the planning stages, was reportedly going to include a $50 million penthouse for Putin. The idea being if they gifted him one, then other rich Russians would want to buy in the building to have close proximity to the Russian president. It's kind of great marketing, you have to admit. Also, there has been some buzziness in the story about Ivanka Trump's involvement, that she was going to design the property -- but actually, that's what Ivanka did for the Trump Organization, so I'm failing to see where the scandal is on that particular Ivanka part.
Class Photo Time:
Trump and other leaders posed this morning for the annual "class photo" of G20 leaders. It's a somewhat awkward situation for Trump, if only because Vladimir Putin was also in the photo, as well as Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi prince who many feel is complicit in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Trump stood between Emmanuel Macron of France and Shinzo Abe of Japan. But Putin and MBS' Super-Chummy Greeting:
When the leaders arrived to the room for the class photo, our Kevin Liptak reports it was hard to miss the ebullient greeting between Putin and bin Salman, who gave each other hearty hellos and back-slaps -- watch the video clip here. Interesting,, as both men have been in the United States' crosshairs ... note Trump watching from the back. Manafort Gets a Sentencing Date:
The "witch hunt" is going to last well into the spring -- Paul Manafort, who had a hearing today, got a sentencing date of March 5th. Politico broke the story today that Mueller is now considering re-calling Manafort for trial on the charges he already faced earlier this year that resulted in a hung jury.
Our Daily Melania:
While President Trump poses for the class photo at G20, Melania Trump is enjoying a sightseeing event with the spouses of other G20 leaders, visiting the gardens of Villa Ocampo. "Villa Ocampo, a UNESCO Cultural Observatory, is the former home of Argentine writer Victoria Ocampo who founded the Argentine Women's Union in the 1930's and who founded Sur, a magazine that later became a hub for young writers and thinkers," says the detail fact sheet. The event is being hosted by Argentine first lady Juliana Awada, who greeted Trump. Later, the US first lady takes part in a "light reception," a G20 spouse/partner family photo, and a luncheon.
I actually think Juliana Awada and Melania Trump are quite similar first ladies in a way. First of all, they look sort of like each other. Never Forget the President of Argentina Once Choked on His Freddie Mercury Mustache at His Wedding:
The best story about Awada is actually about her husband, President Mauricio Macri, who at their wedding reception jokingly dressed as his favorite singer, Freddie Mercury. However, while singing a song onstage, Macri inhaled his fake mustache, choking, and had to be rescued by the Argentina Minister of Health, who was there as a guest. True story.
Dress Like the First Lady:
Melania got off Air Force One last night wearing the same $6,000 Ralph Lauren leather coat she wore to depart Washington, but she had changed her skirt ... and her shoes. She was wearing a custom Hervé Pierre white skirt (Pierre is her personal wardrobe helper/stylist) and the elusive Manolo Blahnik cow print BB pumps. The cow pumps sold out very quickly when they were released. But, like, do you guys think she wore them because Argentina is known for its beef and cattle ranches? Tim Scott said he'll vote against one of President Trump's judicial nominees accused of supporting efforts to disenfranchise black voters.

"Michael Cohen" was the top search term on Google Thursday; Marriott said it's been hacked, potentially exposing about 500 million guests' personal information; and DJ Khaled and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been charged with cryptocurrency fraud.

The Amount of Profanity Politicians are Using Online has Risen:
The amount of expletives politicians tweet has exploded since Trump took office, according to data from GovPredict, an analytics firm. They looked at a list of 10 words, ranging in offensiveness from f-bombs to "crap," and found the word with the biggest spike was "sh*t," an increase pegged to Trump's use of the word in describing Haiti and African countries earlier this year. The saltiest Twitter feed belongs to Sherry Frost, a Democrat in New Hampshire's state House who has used words from the list 415 times since 2014. | | Credit: GovPredict
Tom Hanks Wins Tom Hanks Award:
Tom Hanks was in town last night for an event at the Washington Hilton for Hidden Heroes, Elizabeth Dole's group that supports military caregivers. There are 5.5 million of these caregivers in the US, including spouses and other family members who act as unofficial — and unpaid — caregivers for veterans, per the group. Hanks was awarded the first Caregiver Champion Award, which Dole said was to be renamed the Tom Hanks Award.
Hanks' speech was just as inspiring as you imagined it would be, and he said helping and serving these caregivers even in the smallest ways makes a big difference. "It's up to We The People to take care of our own," he said. "We can do that -- it's the United States of America, and when Americans decide to do something, it gets done." 🇺🇸 The event was emceed by Savannah Guthrie, and Sen. Jay Z Calls Out MAGA Ye:
In his guest rap for "What's Free," a track from Meek Mill's new album Championships, Jay Z references Kanye West's Trump support. He raps, "No red hat, don't Michael and Prince me and Ye/They separate you when you got Michael and Prince's to your name," and then says his house is "like a resort" and "bigger than yours," which Rolling Stone suggests is a swipe at Trump.
Mill told Vulture this week he spent "hours" on the phone with West and tried to talk him out of visiting the Trump in the White House. He said he didn't think West actually addressed criminal justice reform at the meeting. "He wasn't prepared for it, and he shouldn't have done it," he said. And he said he spoke with Kim Kardashian West, too, who surprised him with her knowledge, but ultimately, "I just couldn't reason with them," he said.
There's a Shirley Chisholm Movie on the Way:
Viola Davis has been tapped to play Chisholm, a New York Democrat who served in the House from 1969 to 1982 and was the first woman and person of color to run to be a major party's presidential nominee in 1972. "The Fighting Shirley Chisholm" will be released by Amazon, according to Deadline.

"Lorna" is an interactive art display about a paranoid woman in a room whose view of the outside world comes entirely through media, by Lynn Hershman Leeson, whose work explores issues like consumerism and technology.
