The low cost of living, the proximity to the U.S. and a slower pace of life are the top reasons I am drawn to Mexico. I am also looking to spend my days enjoying the Caribbean coast, which offers spectacular turquoise waters and white, sandy beaches. Also, the Riviera Maya, a 100-mile stretch along this coast, is home to some amazing places, including Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel and the wonderful Isla Mujeres. Most of all, I plan on smoking cigars on the beach and wearing shorts, flip-flops and my old rock T-shirts for the rest of my life.
