What the White House is Talking About:
President Trump today delivered the commencement address at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

What the White House Press Corps is Talking About:
Wait ... North Korea may be back on?

Another day without a press briefing; there was only one this week.

"We'll See What Happens":
This phrase, a favorite of the President of the United States, has become the epitome of basically everything he does in the administration. Firing someone? We'll see what happens. A primary election? We'll see what happens. Iran deal? We'll see what happens. Meeting Kim Jong Un? We'll see what happens. It's like every episode of this series has a cliffhanger. I'm a touch concerned for the season finale, but I digress.

Today's episode has to do with whether the Singapore summit that Trump *canceled yesterday* could be revived. Trump told reporters on the South Lawn this morning: "We're going to see what happens. We're talking to them now. It was a very nice statement they put out. We'll see what happens. It could even be the 12th. We're talking to them now," he said. "They very much want to do it. We'd like to do it."
He also said, "everybody plays games. You know that." Preach, amirite.

Trump Talks Triumph:
The President's commencement address at the Naval Academy was an uplifting speech about success and determination, and the bravery of our men and women in the military. "Together you are the tip of the spear, the edge of the blade and the front of the shield defending and protecting our great country," Trump said.
"You know there is no mission our pilots can't handle. There is no hill our Marines can't take and there is no stronghold the SEALs can't breach. There is no sea the Navy can't brave and there is no storm the American sailor can't conquer. You know that together there is nothing Americans can't do. Absolutely nothing."
Good stuff, that. He also went on about America being "back."

If I May, A Word:
I try not to get soapboxy in this space, but I want everyone to look at the smug face of this horrible handcuffed person and remember there is no voice too small, no step too tiny, no incident too inconsequential, and no forward motion that doesn't push the ball up that big-ass hill. And also let Jodi Kantor's tweet this morning serve as a reminder -- it did to me.

Ivanka Trump Gets Behind Serena Williams:
Most of the time, I admit, I breeze through Ivanka Trump's tweets with about a 50-72% level of care, but yesterday I paused because she said something really important, IMHO. And she also said it with fervor and determination -- it felt, well, real.

Our Daily Melania:
The President gave his wife a shout-out today, telling reporters, "she's doing great," when they asked after her when Trump was on his way to board Marine One at the White House. "She's looking at us. Right there," he said, pointing up to the south facade, where the residence windows look out over the lawn. Yesterday Melania tweeted for the first time since returning home on Saturday from her stay at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center following a kidney procedure.

Wait But I Sort of Want a Coat of Arms Now:
This is very cool. Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, was bestowed a coat of arms in honor of her new title. It has some personal touches, like poppies from California, and the blue background of the shield with the yellow bars is symbolic of the Pacific Ocean and rays of sun for the Sunshine state.
Louise Linton, Doing the Good:
Whether it's part of an image rehab or not, Louise has been posting some good stuff on her Instagram lately and I'm here for it.
