Season 2 of "Roseanne" to be Announced: ABC is already ready for more

Dennis Rodman's Hope for the Trump-Kim Meeting: Kim Jong Un in a MAGA hat

What the White House is Talking About:
President Trump is at Mar-a-Lago today and through the weekend. No public events on his schedule, but he's playing golf at Trump International Golf Club.

What the White House Press Corps is Talking About:
Today marks the 137th visit by the president to a property that is either owned by the Trump Organization, or bears his name. It's his 104th day at one of his golf clubs.

EPA Chief Under (Even More) Scruting:
Scott Pruitt is facing still more questions about his spending habits as head of the EPA. First for his unprecedented, 24-hour security detail, which is outlined in a letter sent by a Democratic senator to the EPA's inspector general -- and second for his DC living arrangements, revealed by ABC News. Pruitt has been staying in a Capitol Hill townhouse co-owned by the wife of a powerful energy lobbyist. This town, amirite? Today, Bloomberg is reporting Pruitt paid $50/night each night he was in town, which is a steal for those kind of digs.

About Last Night:
So, Hope Hicks is Gone:
And it was super awkward.

There's a good piece here about what's going to happen now that Trump's trusted ally is out of the picture -- he's rudderless sometimes without Hicks, say those around him.

Meanwhile, I will console myself with my new Hicks-by-extension obsession: her sister's fashion blog, which is insanely good. TheMGFactor.com is run by Mary Grace Hicks, Hope's younger sister, who is married and about to have her first child. She looks a lot like Hope:

I've gone through the whole thing (so you don't have to, unless you want to) and my favorite post is naturally the one about Hope's lady tux look from Japan. MG calls the post, "Babes in Menswear." She even has a handy where-to-buy section if you want to get Hope's look for less.

Our Daily Melania:
The Palm Beach Post did a big slideshow of Melania Trump through the years at Mar-a-Lago. There are great #tbt shots, including this one from 2003, which is amazing if ONLY FOR THE CAPTION OMG.

Dress Like the First Lady:
Melania visited sick children yesterday at Palm Beach Children's Hospital, but she did so unannounced and without press. Her comms director told me afterwards that the first lady gave out Easter tote bags with coloring books and plush bunnies and stickers. FLOTUS posted about it

For the visit, I'm pretty certain she wore this $1,280 Adam Lippes dress

Have a good holiday weekend! See you Monday from the White House Easter Egg Roll ...

What Washington is Talking About:
The NRCC is calling for Rep. Elizabeth Esty, a Connecticut Dem, to resign. Esty didn't fire her chief of staff for months after finding out he threatened to kill a former aide in her office that he once dated.

What America is Talking About:
The first big post-Cambridge Analytica data breach. Under Armor says data from about 150 million MyFitnessPal app user's has been hacked.

Poll of the Day:
The No.1 reason people identify as a Democrat or Republican is because they believe that their party's policies are good for the country. The No. 2 reason is because they think the other guy's policies are bad for the country, according to a Pew poll released Thursday.

Russia Retaliates:
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced Thursday the country would expel 60 US diplomats and close the US Consulate in St. Petersburg in response to the US expelling Russian diplomats. Said State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert: Russia "should not be acting like a victim."

Leaked Facebook Memo on "Ugly Truth" of Growth:
A 2016 memo by Facebook Vice President Andrew "Boz" Bosworth in which he wrote that the company's growth could cost "someone a life by exposing someone to bullies" or "maybe someone dies in a terrorist attack coordinated on our tools" was published Thursday by BuzzFeed. "We connect people. Period. That's why all the work we do in growth is justified," Bosworth wrote. Both Bosworth and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said they disagree with the memo.

"Roseanne" Showrunner on the Politics of Premiere Episode:
Showrunner Bruce Helford said people turned off by Roseanne Barr's character's pro-Trump stance should give it a few episodes. "The first episode is definitely not all pro-Trump," Helford told the Hollywood Reporter. "Give it two or three episodes. I think everybody is going to find something that they love and believe in — and that they're going to laugh because it's the funniest cast on TV."

Helford said they "thought there was no way that Roseanne, Jackie and Darlene would have all voted for the same person" and the political debate in the reboot's first episode "was our way of discussing the political divide." He also said there will be topics Barr's character "wants and believes in" that Trump does not.

Season Two of Roseanne 2.0 to Be Announced:
A source at ABC told CNN the network is already set to order a second season of the show.

Kacey Musgraves Drops Social Commentary on New Record:
I'd describe the politics of some of the country singer's past songs like "Follow Your Arrow" and "Biscuits" as "libertarianish." But Musgraves said her new record Golden Hour, out today, is more love songs than social commentary. "Everyone has a soapbox these days! Everyone's tired of it," she told Billboard.

She also said despite her support for legalized marijuana, she doesn't plan on being an advocate for it:

"I mean, I don't need to be a lobbyist for anything -- and what works for me may totally not work for someone else. But it makes me happy to see that people are getting help and healing from marijuana. If there weren't so much propaganda against it for no reason, [marijuana] would probably save a lot of lives. I'm a firm believer that what you do with your body is your own choice, and legally that covers a lot of ground."

Dennis Rodman's Hope for the Trump-Kim Meeting:
Someone's hopeful for the negotiations. Rodman posted a pic of Kim Jong Un in a MAGA hat on Insta, writing, "Hoping for this after my two friends and leaders meet next month."

Justice For Tiffany:
Tiffany Trump was at her father's rally yesterday in Ohio and even got a shoutout. "And speaking of a job well done, we have two of my daughters here today. Ivanka, who's working hard on infrastructure, and Tiffany." He neglected to note that she's working hard at Georgetown Law. #JusticeForTiffany

It appears she'll celebrate the Easter weekend at Mar-a-Lago with her family. Tiffany was spotted getting off Air Force One at the Palm Beach Airport Thursday.

Street Art Sighting:
There's so much to see in today's street art sighting, sent in by our Yonathan Gebreyes from the corner of 10th Street and Howell Mill Road in Atlanta. It's an art installation called The Border Wall by Joseph Guay, and made by Mexican labor workers, according to Guay's website. There's a disguised Trump in a mustache, the skull with Trump hair, the Obamas with Weeknd hair, Trump with a Puerto Rican flag as a blindfold and #THEBORDERWALL hashtag.

P.S.:
The artist who made that widely ridiculed bust of Cristiano Ronaldo last year got a second chance. His new bust of the soccer star is good.
